Demand Response Fares within the Valley:
Fares can be purchased on the bus. Your fare will be determined by dispatched when the ride is confirmed and due when you board the bus. Fares are based on zoning at $3 a zone or $2 a zone for senior (60+ and youth) .
Fares can also be paid to your prepaid account at our Customer Service office with cash or check. If you wish to paid with a card you can do so through passenger portal after registering.
There are 9 zones: Houston, Big Lake, Meadow Lakes, Knik Goose Bay, Fairview, Port MacKenzie, Wasilla, Palmer, and Butte. Drivers also have $30 (10 zones) punch cards available.
Veterans riding for healthcare can ride for free by providing required information to Customer Service and showing the driver their VA HealthCare card.
For more zoning information please review our demand response guide or call us at (907)864-5000. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 6a-8p and Saturdays 7.30a-11.30 (closed for lunch) Noon-4p. Demand response service is available 6a-8p Monday-Saturday with the exception of some holidays.
Commuter Valley to Anchorage Fares
Fares can be purchased on the bus with exact cash. A one way fare is $7, a Day Pass is $10, and an Unlimited Month Pass is $120. Fares are to be paid to fare box, no change is provided.
You may also pay with card through our mobile ticketing app, by searching Valley Transit AK in your app store or going online through our website on our mobile payments page.
If you are only traveling within the Valley a month pass is $60, Day Pass is $7, and a one way fare is $5.
Day passes are valid for that calendar day. Monthly Passes are valid for 30 days. All fare purchases are final. There are no exchanges or refunds.
ConocoPhillips Employees ride for free when showing their badge. Badge must be shown to driver for every ride. If unable to show your badge you have have to pay normal fare.
UAA students and staff ride for free when showing their WolfCard.
